‘‘We wanted to create an interior that does not compete with the architecture but completes it ‘‘
The architecture of this project is extraordinary. The ultra-modern concrete structure, defined by strong, uncompromising lines, called for an interior that would soften its edges and introduce a sense of warmth and tactility.
Our approach was to create a deliberate contrast, balancing the building’s almost brutal clarity with natural materials, organic forms, and pieces that carry a sense of history.
A monumental slice of a tree trunk becomes the dining table, grounding the space with its raw presence. Generous, downfilled seating invites comfort and ease. Antique clay jars have been reinterpreted as sculptural lamp bases, while a reclaimed door finds new life as a coffee table. Even the large living room carpet was custom-knitted from seagrass, adding texture and depth underfoot.
Throughout the project, we focused on craftsmanship and individuality with many elements designed and made specifically for this space. Each piece contributes to a layered, tactile environment that feels both calm and grounded.
The result is an interior that does not compete with the architecture, but completes it, softening its rigor, enriching its materiality, and transforming it into a space that feels both striking and deeply inviting.
